On The Rocks & a Singh Meme
Saw this Sim on another blog and went to see - kind of fun, as it aims to replicate Circular Quay and near the Opera House. Obviously not quite right, but a fun attempt and worth dropping by.
The key fashion thing here - a new mesh release by Truth. For men. It has that spikey thing going on with it, without being stupidly spikey. I'm definitely a fan - certainly a far progressed version of Truth's old styles for men which I never really made work.
So, Berry Singh's new Meme...thought I would randomly answer this because I wanted to.
- Which was the last sim you visited? (Other than your home) SL10B. I tried to take good pics and failed. I saw Daniel Voyager and Kake Broek and failed to talk to them or take a picture.
- Does your avatar look like the real you? No, but he looks like an Ex of mine. From a LONG time ago.
- Do you wear underwear/panties underneath your clothing when out and about on the grid? Sure, because if I got hit by a big prim airship it would be awkward without them if I ended up in one of those odd hospitals.
- If you won a million linden dollars, what would be the first thing you buy inworld? I would try to bribe some of my favourite designers to create one-off bespoke clothes: Aitui, FATEwear, Mr Poet, Deadwool and FRUK probably. 175k each might work? Which leaves 75k for a big photoshoot with Graphic Dix and 50k to take people shopping who really need help. Alternatively I would buy the Ohmai Sea Otter avatars for thousands of people to bring happiness to the world.
- Have you ever bought something in SL and then realized afterwards that you had already owned it from before? I have hundreds of unopened clothing and hair packages currently, and yes there are duplicates.
- Have you ever done anything in Second Life that would be considered illegal in real life? Depends on the RL jurisdiction, I would say.
- If you could go out on a date with any other avatar, who would it be? The late and much lamented Karl Doomdale. We would hold hands and skip through the trees while he would regale me with stories of his many exploits.
- Who, in your opinion, was the greatest avatar to ever slive? The person knows who I think it was. In second place, it's Kake Broek.
- What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done inworld? I have little or no sense of embarrassment in-world, surely that's the point?
- If your avatar had a mind of its own, what do you think it would say to you? We speak quite a lot actually. He's massively disparaging about every single one of my life choices.

The Silence of the Otters
More and more shots of the awesome Sea Otter AVs that are invading the grid right now, available from Ohmai at Summerfest. [I just deleted a whole load of maudlin thoughts about my SLife, themed around Sea Otters, so instead will share these Five Fun Facts that you may already know)
#1 Sea otters usually have a little stone that they use to open shellfish - they have this stone for life I think and keep it in a little pocket in their fur. If you see them in a zoo or in the wild you will often see them playing with it.
#2 Sea otters form rafts when they sleep by holding hands and tying themselves to sea plants so that they don't drift away.
#3 Sea otters are addicted to sausage rolls and will gnaw their way through 2 feet of concrete to get to one.
#4 Sea otters are socially awkward: they tend to start conversations very brightly and animatedly, but then just stare into space and mumble.
#5 Sea otters are horrible creatures known to attack baby seals in nasty ways - in fact they are the bogeyman of the seal world with many mummy seals telling their young to watch out for the "Dark Otter"
