I want to talk about surfing for a while - have to say I have never actually tried it in SL, but as a child it was a big part of my life. We moved from Sydney to London when I was about 8. I think I picked on surfing to be the reason to be the most annoying child in the world, even though it wasn't something I had really done that much about. I read about it, found videos of it, dreamed of it. Just to punish my parents for taking me away from it. Nice kid.

When I hit my teenage years I managed to get down to Cornwall for various trips - Newquay mainly. I sucked really really bad, but it didn't stop me trying. The title post is a quote from Duke Kahanamoku, one of the pioneers of surfing as a sport. The depth of emotion and philosophy around surfing is probably what I still love the most. Going to leave you with another bit of quotage from Buzzy Trent:

"Waves are not measured in feet and inches

they are measured in increments of fear"

I did the post based around this lovely Magic Surfing Bus by Bauwerk for the H&G event. Also wearing these shorts by Xiaj for MNML which will be the new location for the store. It will open soon and looks pretty damn great - pics here
