A Decade of SL…and discovering one’s ingnorance
Having a conversation with a designer (a distant Lorakeet relative) she was dropping names of people I had never heard of and it seems that the cliques and mainstream aspects of SL really don't all meet as I had thought. As you can possibly see, I was somewhat in trouble with my graphics card at the SL10B sim and got some great bits of text over the pictures, basically saying "The Duck Faced Fashion Blogger is about to Die"
Some things that I particularly enjoyed included:
1. The Greenies exhibit above (always made me chuckle)
2. Seeing Kake Broek doing some kind of protest/warning/demo while dressed as a post-apocalypic Linden SL10B Bear
3. Seeing Daniel Voyager dressed in a funny hat
4. Finding that one of my pics was on the Single Frame Stories exhibit (Squees!)
5. The general vibe of seeing the way that a virtual world has developed over the last 10 years.
I will go back there soon, and would encourage everyone to go visit at some point around the official birthdate of 23 June and definitely before 1 July, when it all disappears into the ether.....
